
MATTEO IERARDI
Born in Italy in 1999, Matteo attended the “Stanislao Giacomantonio” Conservatory in Cosenza, where he graduated during the 2015/2016 academic year, awarded with honor and honorable mention.
In the 2019/2020 academic year, he obtained the Master Degree at the “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence, with full marks and honors. Since 2005 she has been awarded prizes in more than 20 national and international competitions.
In 2012, he won the 4th International Harp Competition “Marcel Tournier” in Cosenza, the most ancient harp competition in Italy. In 2016, he was reconfirmed with the First Prize in the 8th International Harp Competition “Marcel Tournier” in Cosenza, in the category with no age limit.
In 2024, he was awarded the First Prize in the 13th Concours Français de la Harpe in Limoges, and the Third Prize in the 13th International Harp Contest Suoni d’Arpa in Saluzzo.
Among the solo concerts, the following events are notably worth mentioning: the “Morellino Classica Festival Internazionale” of Scansano in 2017; the festival “Strings City” of Florence in 2018 and in 2019, the “Arthemisia Musica Classica Festival Internazionale” in Seregno in 2021 and “Notturni contemporanei” musical review in Cagliari and Sassari in 2025.
In 2025, he performed Mozart’s concert for harp, flute and orchestra with the regional Sardinian Orchestra, and Glière’s concert for harp and orchestra with the Sassari Conservatory Orchestra.
He refined his studies under the guidance of internationally renowned master harpists and instrumentalists, participating in numerous specialization courses and Master Classes.
Along with the solo concerts, he also performs concert activities within chamber and orchestra formations. Since 2019, he has collaborated with the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, the Theatre Massimo Opera House, in Palermo, the Giuseppe Verdi Opera Theatre, in Trieste, the Petruzzelli Opera Theatre, in Bari, and the Massimo Bellini Theatre in Catania.
